Best purple?

I am making picture cane for the "red hatters" and was thinking a momka cadmium for the red, but might use a dark ruby instead. Any advice for the purple ribbon?

NS Hyacinth is about the right purple....mebbe stir it up with a lil GA Grape, if it's not bright enough for ya....

Abes got the market cornered on purple in my shop.Dark amethyst and turbo amethyst are both perfect purple.Hyacinth turns a bit too blue for me.

I'm going to have to agree with the Hyacinth....my mom's a red hatter, and that's what I used for her red hatter pendant as well...

...ah, the red hat crazies...did you know that if you are under 50 years of age and join the red hatters, you have to wear lavender and pink instead of purple and red??? Kind of funny I thought...

the best peuple i have seen is that barney lookin purple in that jason lee piece posted on gp a while ago....i looked for it forever to look a j lee's comment cause he says what kind of purple it is. does anyone remember or have a link to that page???
