View Full Version : Carl's progression pics
This is about the tenth spoon I've managed to mangle through to an end working piece since I got my shop set up enough to work. I didn't bother to polish out the wrinkles from the bowl push, which is slightly off toward the exit hole. I like to flatten out the mouthpiece end as well. Terminating the mouth end is still my biggest struggle. Happy with the hole sizes though.

Pop the carb more towards the neck. It's more comfortable to use that way and add a few dots to the opposite side for added grip. Popping a hole for a mouthpiece can be difficult to learn at first but once you get it down its very fast. Try the button technique, it's fairly simple. It's in the Homer Hoyt intro to solid and blown glass sculpting book. It's worth every penny

Thanks dplaza. They're part of ball valves that can get fully taken apart. Brewery desk at my other hobby. Friends opened a brewery and I do a lot of the art and menu boarding and help brew.
