So basically it's a switchback / wig wag whatever you wanna call it but after you condense it down to a prep ball you pop a hole open it up a bit and change the axis. You then work the whole tube into a longer but even wall thickness. You then repeat the 'wigging ' process of altering the lines again to achieve minute changes in angles of the line work / line play . Could this entire process be done three or four times to magnify the effect or would you imagine it to become a mess of blurred lines.? I hope someone followed me here.

Years ago i proposed the concept of rewigs here and was told by some, it would look dumb, and others said its already done, by noteably Jason Lee.

Wigging again after changing axis again a second time? Not positive. Might be worth a shot.

After you rewig the first time it goes back to the original axis if you plan to rewig again, which may work if you only focused on rewigging the part that was rewigged so it's off-axis if that makes sense. Because after the first rewig and change axis you will have a normal rewigged wigwag, and you can't rewig a wigwag on your axis.

I think Cameron is pushing the limit of what may look good still. I could not find his image that looked like the o.p. described. Check his instsgram.

Fwiw , his more traditional line work is about as perfect as anyone's. I think that plays a big part (perfect lines to start) in how far you can push a pattern and keep it clean.

It looks like some of those photo's have spiral windows dropped in and then he wig-wagged them to me. Then again I need glasses so ymmv.
