Colormax was reposeted by the bank in Euorpe a few years back. This is what I was told. They had a hard time produceing good glass and never had a chance to recover. They also used a glass that had a 36COE from what I was told. I spoke with the glass alchemist that created those colors and he was very nice and was very disipointed that his work of art went down. I aways see this web site a go were you at color tubing. I know that there is a lot of this product left in Europe and people love it. If they started making color again that would be great.

Peace Abe

Its strange... that website was recently updated... I remember looking at it a month or 2 ago, and it looked like the old site....

I was told the same story as abe. I called and spoke with a rep a lil over a year ago and they stated that they have not made color in some time, and as it was standing, they were not going to produce any more
Abe you ought to offer to buy the formula's or offer their chemist a job. All the opaque colors were so nice (aside from the coe issues)

im not to far from the colormax factory, if enough people want me to ill investigate the europe supply. Id love to give back to the board any way i can. I have people working with me here that can speak almost all the languages here and can track down some left overs. Let me know.

I did offer to buy all formulas that he had but never got a reply back. I was one of the first people to use the colormax colors in the USA and some were shit but some were really nice. I loved there black at the time but now we have Jet Black that works so so smooth.
peace

I don't think they even made that tubing that is on there web site. They were planing to release tubing after they got the rod market together. This is what I have been told.
If any of you speak French let me know and maybe we can still get the colors to produce in the USA.

Peace Abe

speaking of old color formulas how about the chameleon glass. some one making that would be cool
or maybe rooster glass colors, they had the sweetest striking purple. Also i got this color vanilla bean that was discontinued its an awesome color one of my favorites. So many long lost colors. How about Cosmic orange?

Someone needs to bring these colors back from the grave.

Chayes - Chameleon is doing small batch production runs in 2 colors last time I spoke with him. I cant remeber his name right now. But I spoke with him a few years back and he was still swinging kilos of both red and "silver" blue. Unfortuanely he wasnt doing all the colors (or any of my fav.s for that matter)
You need some cosmic orange? I still have around 60 lbs or so tucked away.
Hit me up if you want some, we could work something out
