Anyone know a gas shop/supplier that repairs/ replaces the valves in Y connectors, flashbacks that came loose and fell apart/missing pieces etc, broken inline regs.
I asked a local supplier and they said just to toss them, i got like 3 oxy 3 propane, Y's plus a bunch of random stuff that needs fixed so i feel i got enough material that justifies the cost/ shipping of getting it done, I just would hate to toss or scrap a bunch of brass that could be fixed.
Anyone got any leads or had Y splitters fixed before? Worst comes to worst i figure the 3 bad ones could be taken apart and made into 1 good one each i just havent bothered trying to take them apart.

The flash backs can't be repaired, or at least that's what I've been told.
The regs can be rebuilt but usually at a cost that is more than a new reg.You can call the manufacturer to find out about the regs.
The Y connectors you can put one together yourself between all of them if enough of the parts are good and compatible. Otherwise they are cheap
enough to buy new ones.

If it makes you feel any better, brass usually goes to a scrapper that sells it on to be remelted into other stuff.

Well the Flashback didnt actually flashback it was stuck on a reg and while trying to remove it i wasnt paying any attention and i unscrewed the main body piece from the, male to male end piece, and once it became lose enough there is a little spring inside those flashbacks it popped out with the rest of the innards of the flashback, i attempted to put it back together but was missing a piece, is all and now it doesnt work.
As for the regs, they are inline regs someone on here made and i bought, never tried them out till 6 months after the purchase to find out that the diaphragms are good inside the regs its the gauges that the person installed are no good so i just need to replace the gauges with the correct ones that will read.
Well thats good atleast about the Ys, ill piece them together.

Oh i dont mind scrapping, honestly ill melt them down into a brass ingot for shits and giggles. I just dont want to waste something that could be repaired, i had hoped to get someone else to do the repairs is all, but it looks like ill have to fix the regs and piece the busted Ys together myself which isnt a big deal.
Just kinda surprising to me that there isnt a company other then the reg makers that wont fix this stuff.

The numbers just don't add up.
New brass parts are not super expensive, and the material is heavy, so shipping isn't cheap, further reducing any possible savings for repair over replacement. When you factor in any liability issues over the safety of the fixed parts, and just the labor required to make a repair vs cast a new part, you can see that there isn't any money to be made fixing the stuff, so nobody does it.
