Hi ho, Krammit the Frog here.

Errr...I had someone ask me to make them an octopus pendant. I've never actually done one, but after watching the video below, it seems straight forwarfd enough. My question, though, how on earth do you get the legs all done without them going all over the place while you're working on the others? Seems like by the 8th leg you'd be fighting gravity.

I tried searching for some sage advice in the older threads, but either I can't spell octopus or it legitimately has never come up as it's own thread.

I personally make all eight legs. Shape and decorate each one. Then pop them on and melt in with my hand torch

Basically^.

Shape silhouette of tentacles, weld to body, bend legs to shape.

Bridging can be useful, although sometimes unneeded

You could do it a different way also: make a flat tab, make the bail into the head, sculpt/draw 4 tentacles on the front of the tab and four on the back.
