Trade Show Talk

Starting this thread to have an open discussion about experiences with any/all the trade shows that happen throughout the year. Hopefully we can get all this information in one thread.

I recently did the Dallas AGE and it was a rather disappointing turnout. The show was only two days and it was pretty empty (less than 60 vendors I counted). I didn't do it last year so I wasn't sure what to expect. That being said, I would probably do the show again if it happens again next year.

Anyone done AGE or Champs in Vegas in July? I also see that the BIG show is doing a show in NYC the beginning of August.

Those shows are great but expensive. Vegas shows are very big. The NYC show I called about because I am only 1 hour away but they want $2500. They said they would sell me out for a year. I think I need more expensive items. Even if I got a loan for $250 month to cover show costs it would still be hard.
But they are a great idea.

I had a bad experience at vegas show but it had nothing to do with the show. I would love to go back especially to AGE because it is a smaller show. When I went it was in a hotel room and all I had to do was bring cases of glass and people were really cool. Champs is more involved with the booth and everything.

Right now the company I make glass for does the shows and I have an exclusive deal to only sell them the designs they show. So I would have to do a lot of work for my own booth. It is too hard right now.

My new stuff will be at champs and age in Las Vegas next month. My distributor is representing me.

The trade shows are really large this year. Plus it's like 2 weeks of shows between age and champs.
I can't wait for everyone to come back. I'm just blowing as much product as possible. Then I get paid when I get back.

You forgot big NYC august 10-11 I believe too.

I think those are last years dates?
I swear I was told on Friday age was happening after champs last week. I could be wrong?
