905829058090581Well hello again guys & gals- Its been waaay to long since I've posted... I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know that if anyone has any questions, comments, needs any replacement parts or just want to bullshit about tecs with my tool.... I'd be more than happy to help any way I can. On occasion I'll get a request from a vendor about a replacement screw or Allen & wanted to let everyone know, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm sure its a pain for you guys to track down parts if needed, I stand behind any tool I've made so again- feel free to hit me up. Email: msmithjaws@gmail.com Text or call: 262-758-2761 or P.M. me here.
Also I'm happy to say I have all the kinks worked out with the new designs. Like to apologize for any delays anyone had while I was working through the prototyping. I now make the smalls & donut tool 100% from scratch & have the same style hinge as the large. No more slop making them much more accurate & now have a secondary cut out that allows for a wider range of tube/rod to be scored. I also started hard coat anodizing. Aside from that making them more ridged, its much harder to scratch & won't leave residue on your hand after a long day of use. I'll get a few pics posted later this eve. Thanks for everyone support over the years. I couldn't have done it without this forum & all the feedback along the way!
I'd like donate a three tool set to the site. Large, small & donut. Maybe a raffle or auction? Any mods feel like helping with that?
Thanks again everyone, peace!

I love my jaws! One of the best tools in my shop by far.
Glad to see you here. and of course we'd love to host an auction for your product! Hit me up anytime you'd like to discuss. Everyone should have a pair or two of these.

Is that a programmable glass router? Similar to the CNC machines? I watched the video, and that's my best guess.

It's a CNC. He's carving tools for glass, not glass itself.

I got a pair of the new ones from Mike and I LOVE them! The handles feel nice in my hands and are well balanced.
I also got the donut tool but I haven't had time to try it yet. I will share when I do.
Thanks for making such an awesome tool for us, Mike. :)

Appreciate it Misha. Pretty sure everyone knows your glass parts like the red sea just out of respect without tools!

Very sweet the Jaws are made over here on a Tormach.
Now I know that I will add them to my list of things to buy.
I have wanted a tormach for years. You lucky dog. :D

thanks chad. i was also hoping to see the small version and how the large works on some middle size tubes if anyone has a minute to shoot that. thats pretty amazing, i always use a hot rod. breaking large tubes by hand freaks me out.

Hey Chad, thx for the links! dplaza I'll get a video. Snoop, doubt ya'd want a Tormach. Great machine and all but machining is for the birds, I'm a much better glassblower than machinist. I had a beth g-100 I sold & picked up an old Emco F1. Re-did all the electronics & then bought a U. Decided to invest in the new Tormach so once again, sold my lathe. Now I want to pawn both cncs & get my U back- lol. Come full circle I suppose.
