I haven't lost any sleep over a thread on here. If something upsets me or makes me aggrevated, I say something about it. Sometimes I talk to my friends about things that happen on here, but those friends are in the glass industry anyway and it's a natural subject of conversation. Heck, when "Frittmann" came onto the other forum and started spewing some really hateful lies about me, threatening to interfere with my child custody case and all, I didn't lose any sleep.

Now, on the other hand, I have received correspondence from someone's attorney regarding things posted on the GLDG. So, maybe someone else out there is losing some sleep. :rollin

Wow! I took a look at the poll results and was surprised that there really are some of you who have lost sleep over a thread. :( I don't know why that makes me sad, but it does. I guess I just really don't want anyone to get too stressed out over stuff that goes on here.

Really, though, it shouldn't surprise me that some of us would get worked up over things. We're a pretty tight-knit group as a whole compared to other industries. And, we're artists to boot. I guess that sets the stage for emotional involvemen/attachment good or bad.

Anyway, more surprising to me than the number of people losing sleep is the number of people claiming to be Misha. :eek

Haha. I have to admit i lost some sleep over that "diglass-guess how i did this and i'll send you some color" thread on the old board. No anger though...it was just a fun/frustrating mystery...and it was funny to see how worked up some people got. It really turned into a soap opera. It consumed my thoughts for a few days. Maybe i need some more excitement in my life? ~zac~

Oh yea, yikes, dare I even bring it up, I forgot about the FOG thread - I heard some dumb rumor that Henry wanted to sue me for releasing the meeting notes and I was nervous for like, a day...I don't think I lost any sleep, but I WAS afraid of what would happen if I was banned by a judge to stop using all GA colors, period. That'd suck!

I thought that thread was fun. It sucks some people got upset in there over some plastic fume. I guess I might've been a little rude a time or two in there. Overall it was fun and it had more views than any other thread on the gldg.

It was fun. People were just emotional because they wanted the answer so they could go back to their lives. I even got yelled at at my day job because i kept running back to the computer to see who posted what next. I wish we still had that thread. It was fun to read all the ups and downs as comic relief. Plus it exposed allot of cool ideas of things i had never thought of putting into glass. It got me thinking of the medium in a different way. As with most things, everyone can get whatever they want from it....I thought it was fun and educational on a few different levels. I want to see another mystery like that....i mean, if someone held a bubble up in front of me and said guess what's in there.....not in my entire life would i ever guess it to be moldy cheese and urine! That's thinking outside of the box for sure.....or in our case, outside of the bubble! ~zac

I guess I've lost sleep indirectly. I find so much inspiration and ideas here, and my thoughts turn to glass as I lie in bed more often than not, and that can keep me up. For example, I was lying there thinking about a torch design that I want to build and was thinking about where I will be getting materials, how Im going to to the welding, machining etc...Im very pumped about building a torch.
