Please help identify large glass tube

Hi all,
I found a very large glass tube and have no idea of its purpose. it's 3040 mm long and 115 mm in diameter.
Can anyone help?

I imagine it's for making large vessels for use in the scientific or medical industry. I don't think it would have much purpose as a raw material but what you can make from it sure does. I'm sure there are industrial applications as well, but i'm not so sure of what they are.
