View Full Version : Differences in UV light spectrum, filtered and non filtered lights

Found this nice page showing comparisons of how the spectrum of UV light you use will effect different minerals (and glass) differently. I am looking for a good mixed spectrum led for glass pics as I notice one brand here seems to light up the pinks well, while your standard florescent bulb makes things like bluV pop quite a bit more. There may be some differences with Illuminati, but that stuff just glows like a monster no matter what.

Just some food for thought for when you are taking pictures of glass that might glow better under one or the other or a mix. Still looking into the whole filter business. Hope this helps someone :D
