Does anyone know what type of bearing is used in these? (I haven't actually tried a fidget spinner, but they seemay popular)

Shrug 608 one of the most common bearings in the world. I do think they run them dry as any lubricate would slow down the action. Google says r188. Really any quality ceramic bearing you can clean should work fine.
I never understood why anyone would find this fun.

My kid keeps telling me to make them lol. I've seen some pretty cool boro ones out there on IG.

I think its kind of like TV, where your mind shuts off, and its relaxing. not fun so much. fake meditation :D
