I have had a delta and worked on many, I would want to know why before I believed this, its a straight round barrel

It's the cheaper marver that doesn't attach to the barrel. It doesn't fit all delta elites because the post position has changed over the years (where the marver connects to).

I was a little salty that the thick griffin screw tops touch/push on the barrel on my 40mm, I actually got flat top recessed screws to replace them .

griffin plus two screws... 54$

I was at mountain glass in person. I bought the griffin only because they had no blast shield in stock. Now that I have used each marver, they each work. The griffin is thicker, the blast shield seems like a nicer graphite with a bevel edge.
