So I was making this marble yesterday and it took FOREVER to do. By the end, when I was rounding it off, it got major, major devitrification all over it. I resigned myself to picking off a layer of the clear glass to clean it up. But I remembered I had put a little baggy of sea salt in my shop after reading this thread........

It completely saved my ass. It was really bad devitrification too. So thanks Brian and everyone else on here that volunteers information. I think I've learned half of what I know here.
