I am currently at Corning , melting and pulling color for a big 5 foot u.v. build live on the center stage. ( Main adutorium) Blowers in the round, live band to boot. Don Ortega, Jason Howard, Scott Griffin , Greasy Glass, Sethq, T.a.f.f.y. , Keven Beacher, Peetwice , Eric Goldsmidt, and a few other very special guests. People came from every corner of the country or farther. Build is illuminiti donated by Northstar, and the rest is u.v. satin /CFL greasy glass.

Getting to be a guest artist at Corning was on my bucket list. I got to say I was not let down by the grounds and equipment. The entire attitude Corning puts forth is incredible. Their reputation is well deserved.

Corning feels to me like the pinical of what is possible with glass . No compromise, No limits. I will definitely be back. I know this is a new door opening, not just another opportunity.

The party goes live at 6est on the Corning YouTube channel.

I know links are on the cmog.org sight. Or just search YouTube. The design and colab has been a joy so far. Eric really picked out an amazing group of people for this. We also get to try out the high temp Molly bar melter.

Mind blown, I just walk around cheezin saying over and over "I had no idea!"

Lots of pics on Instagram, if this were my phone I would put some up. Prehaps later? I gained axis and pictures to some non public areas including the Steuben cave and cold working shop.

Very cool. I wish I had more pictures of the finished tree. Looks very cool though. Congrads. I have not been to Corning in years. Almost 20 now probably. Lot's have changed. I think my last class was with Jason Howard as a student also with Emilio I believe. It was that long ago.

I will dig around. I got pics of the tree and the topper when it's all stacked out no room.

The demo had live feed issues, they said it will get released soon. About the only part I'm in is the final assembly of the very delicate star. It has a corning logo in the middle and raspberry prunties on all the points. The prunties and the center logo are all the uv colors that were not on the tree. The rest of the time I was just running drinks and supplies /pulling stock for the build.

Honestly I did not mind working out of the steuben shop in the basement. It was a epic work space. I was offered a torch spot on the floor, I just knew I could do a better job to self delagate and fill in to make it smooth.

I worked prep and got to demo in the hot shop for three days. I totally did not mind any part of corning.

Eric is the man. He has seen phish 200? Times. We are homies. He has an amazing house and an amazing collection of glass from the biggest names in the art world. I'm excited to have made such a fast friend.

Does Eric still teach? I see he has a new position as the head of the department. I think he only does week long workshops now. I took 2 weekends with him figure and goblet. He has skills.
He was Cesare’ apprentice for many years when I went there.

They did release the 2300 video about a week ago. I was lucky enough to be in the final cut...

" Stoked to be a part of this" is a understatement.93503
