As a potential buyer, How does one use this tool? Is it a stuff and puff or what?

I'm having a hard time visualizing how this would work. It seems in my naive lack of experienced point of view that stuff and puff would be about the only way to get this to work, and it also seems that would cause issues upon releasing or unscrewing the glass once cooled...

serious question.

This tool is for holding premade glass thread connections. You hold the threaded end so it can be welded on to another piece of glass and attach a threaded cap to it.

Wow these are great! Finally some brass thread holders! I hope I pay attention to when you start offering them... The 14's could be handy at any rate for bottles and vials.
