Heh, Purdue made him takle his website down because of liability issues. Then they tried to shut down the unofficial mirrors because they used the name of the school.

He was doing this back when I was in highschool. Always wanted to try it, never had the equipment.

There are some good photos and a few videos of the grilling in action. He still does this from time to time, from what I've heard.

I have heard of blasting done this way. Drill a hole in the rock, pack it with charcoal, and pour liquid O2 over it. If a charge fails to detonate, just wait a day for the oxygen to dissapate, and it is safe again.
