Marc Vandenberg will be teaching a three day workshop at the West Michigan Glass Society (http://www.wmglass.org) in Kalamazoo, MI.

Furnace Blown Glass with Lampworked Inclusions
October 6, 7, 8

Students will create detailed inclusions at the torch from reichenbach color bar and pre-pulled clear (spruce pine) cane. Marc Vandenberg is currently a glassblower at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI., and has taught privately, at Corning and Southern Illinois University. Marc's work can be seen at his website (http://www.marcvandenberg.com/), and is also exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and private collections.

Prerequisite for the class:
At least one year lampworking of furnace work
Cost:
$400.00

This will be a great class for anyone, at any level looking to expand their skills. Space is limited to 6 students so get on board.

yeah great times, thanks for having me out. Plenty of entertainment in and out of the studio. I'm still working on my hanging upside down while lampworking technique. I'm gonna be the worlds first extreme lampworker. Next, lampworking while riding a bike backwards buck naked. yeah, the propane and oxygen tank straped to the frame, its gonna be kick ass.
Thanks to the glass groupies, gotta love em. Has she returned to the studio since?
