Reversal terminations

Whats the trick to getting a clean termination? I'm tearing off clean, but by the time I finish blowing it out into a ball, I have a clear spot where the termination should be. How do I keep the color on top?

if you are coloring on the outside of the tube, its gonna be hard to not see clear where you terminate. The easiest way to fix the problem is to do inside out coloring.

pull a little nipple up on each termination, pull out the nipple an inch or so, and then pick it down flush with the reball.

Right now I've been striping the outside of a tube and then striping over that with clear - so the color is kind of in the middle.

Doug - do you cut the nipple off in the flame? That seems to be where my problem is - as soon as I flame cut the area I'm cleaning up - the clear blobs to the top.
