HeY ,Ya I'm new but been around a long tyme ! I work for a well known company , no name but tires. tires, tires GY help you out ? Well got news this morning that we will be laid off - "yes" got tyme to work on my glass tech's and $$ too ! :D Also got news that our uncle sam is going to change pension plans too -- 30 yr T - bills going to lower rate ?????( there goes the $$$ that I busted my a?? for ) Yes i have 21 yrs in this place -- and looking at getting out while I stiil hve got $$ left in there -- s???? they can take it anytyme they want ?????? So ? IS it:jump: GO or stick it out ?????? what you tink .... oh been doing glass for 4 yrs now .... so ??????

OOOOPS forgot the USW is on stike and the place I'm at supplies the wire for them --- no place to shipp it too .....

If you are involved in any way with the auto industry, I say get out ONLY if you can take your retirement benifit with you in a lump sum distribution. Roll it over into an account YOU control. I think the folks who have retired from Ford and GM are going to be in for a big surprise soon. It's your money. If you can take it all now and roll it over into another account, it will not be subject to the goofball ways the unions or CEOs can come up with to take back from you......can you say Enron? Be careful.

oops , just worked my last 12 hr shift there !!!! Like you said need to be able to control "my" own $$$ not some CEO .. and yank it all away "enron -- did find out there is a buy - out clause too -- think i'll go for and glasssssss the rest of my life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sounds allot better to me !!!!!!!!!!
