Challenge:

I discovered how to put a passport-photo (yes, paper) into a glass ball. Fill the ball with water, and mount the ball onto a piece of marble.

Who can do the same.
Show me a picture of it and you deserve eternal fame.

To show you what i mean, i post this picture whith a laser etching on a pease of glass.
Show met the same but then with a color paper photo in it (that has not burned (thats the difficullty to overcome) during the closing of the ball)

By the way the glass ball on the picture is 12 cm in diameter

Lots of fun trying.

There is a bunch of them outside the Penland studio, in a flower bed. They are black and white though.

did you use epoxy to seal the hole or is the marble stand keeping the water from leaking out, or is it sealed on the torch?

It is no marble.
It is a glass ball (diameter 120 mm), blown from a tube 80 mm diameter.
Then put in the annealing oven.
Then put in the piece.
Then close the ball.
Then put in the water.
Then torch the filling nipple (hidden in the marmer).

Excuses for the word marble, i ment marmer, the stone on which it is mounted.

I don't know who it is, but he looks more like Matthew Broderick...who is even more dreeeeeamy.
