Boro Batman millies?

Does anybody have any? Does anybody know where to get some? Does anybody have any? I got an order for a marble with a batman symbol in it, a milli could make my life a lot easier (and more profitable. . .)

ABR Imagery sells milli's, maybe they have a batman.

Why don't you make one? Then you can double bank..one in the marble and a few to folks looking for some. There is a picture tutorial of murrini making in "Contemporary Lampworking". I think they use a furnace in the demo, they pull a buttload of it.

My friend wants me to make him a glass pipe with a bunch of red 8's in it, for Dale, Jr's number, I tried it using stringers but it looked dorky, but I bet murrini would look good. I didn't even think of it at the time, thanks for the idea! :D

Two approaches I can think of to make it. The hard one is the hot strip process, melting the yellow into the black in order to make the points and curved indents in the black. The one that would take more work, but more sure to turn out, is to make an optic mould for the black, and fill the yellow in afterwards. This would allow you to make them until the cows came home, and sell them yourself.

Yeah, Chris, I understand. And seeing as how I only need a couple. . .but if you decide to make some of your own volition, and it's before I get some, you've got a (small) guaranteed sale here. . .

Thanks for the response. I checked ABR, they don't currently have anything listed on their web site. I'm working on a "new" technique of making millies (it's nothing new, really, just a combination of techniques that you wouldn't commonly think of for making millies). I'll give it a shot that way, but if you hear anything. . .
