I am sorry to all you ladies for taking so long to do the bio section of the web site, because there were so many bios I had to build a web page for each artist .....to give each one of you your due justice .....and to be able to fit all your info, links, photo's etc. Sorry again for the wait !!

here is the link http://www.theflowmagazine.com/womansinglass.htm

John,

Thanks for getting that up. I know all the ladies appreciate it

Roze, Your bio was actually printed in the magazine, along with Momka, Misha and Mrs. Sandberg, because you hosted the first Women's Flame-Off. Your bio was put in a special place of honor for you efforts in the community, as the other ladies.
This section was for all the ladies who submitted bios that we did not have room to print in the magazine. We felt that we owed them this for all of thir effort

Thanks for including me - didn't expect the bio on the website. Will check back to see what it looks like when it's done. Again, thanks very much for the opportunity!

I just now saw this thread...how does one get included on the list? I submitted pics, bios etc. and am not listed, or are you still working on this humongous project? Regards,
Catharine Weaver

Catharine,

Got your PM. I tried to get up with John today concerning this. He must still be out for the holidays. As soon as I can get a hold of him, we will get this handled. John definitely puts his time in on our site and always handles biz(That is me kissing your Long Island ass John). It is a Holiday weekend thing. Look forward to seeing you in Vegas. Give me a call.

Peace,

Just a reminder - when copy/pasting out of most Microsoft products, you'll end up with artifacts in your text where they replace standard punctuation with proprietary codes - especially when you just plug it straight into Dreamweaver and hit 'upload'. For example, on Misha's page (http://www.theflowmagazine.com/giesler.htm), there's all sorts of î's and Ö's where there should just be apostrophes, commas, and quote marks.

And I have to ask: wouldn't this sort of thing be much more suited to a database where you can make a single dynamic page instead of creating 150 static pages?

Other than that, though, looks like there's lots of good info up there. Always nice to see women recognized in the community.

funny...i was just pming him about some stuff heh.

and why can't they figure that out anyway...it makes it pretty pointless to try to save time by typing in word and then pasting to where ever. the newsletter app for my site ends up with artifacts, too...kudos to firefox for the spell as you type check and the bird to word.

Yea I hate the copy & paste result when done in Dreamweaver from word, I have been going through them and fixing them here and there when I get a chance, for now if you see extra " or ,,, or a O with two dots over it ....just ignore it .......I could have done a database for the site, I have built too many of them to be honest you , lol......and love then... I use them for e-commerce sites with large inventory's or if a company has multiple locations and they need a database so they can keep in " real time " with each other......as for this site I just used templates in dreamweaver , very easy and quick for me...for me.........there are 1000 ways to skin a cat....but at the end of the day as long as his ass is skinless....it's all good !!!
