If u currentley own any version of Photoshop it is very easy to create a wig wag look to figure out colors and patterns. Simply create a new image whatever size u wish starting with a white background. Next select the colors u wish to use and draw straight lines with the pencil tool either vertical or horizontal (tip: holding shift button while drawing your line will lock it straight.) After u have all your lines drawn u now apply the filter buy folowing the path :filter - distort - twirl. U can then twirl your lines as much as the filter will let you giving u differnet designs. There are also many other filters under the "distort" that will give u different patterns such as "wave, zig zag, etc.". I hope this helps. Please dont hesitate to ask me any photography or photoshop questions. Im a much better photographer then glass blower :)

I had been wondering what this picture was supposed to mean.
The Gimp has a righteous twirl filter, if you don't have Photoshop...
