hey ya'll- i had some jax for a while- didnt use em much cause they stick to glass so some where i read bees wax is the jammy....so i got some pure somoma county bees wax- but how would i go about waxxin my jaxxin? do alot of people use the jaxx or wut? thks mun.

I "start" my jacks periodically by heating them very slightly in the outer reaches of cool flame (like just propane) to maybe 100 degrees. Just enough to melt wax. Then I rub the wax on the blades, which should melt quickly. Then, while the wax is still molten, I rub it in with newspaper as the metal cools. The idea is to rub the wax into the metal and create a base of wax on/in the jack blades. After that, I just pass the jacks thorugh a block of bee's wax I keep on my bench after every use. Some people complain that bee's wax smokes too much, but I think perhaps they get their jacks too hot (keep them out of the flame), or have insufficient ventilation.
I've never had a sticking problem with my jacks, and have been using this method since I got them.

Just get your jacks hot, and slide them on the wax. You should try to maintain a fairly liberal amount of bees wax on you jacks. They like wax, and you will like your jacks. Peace.
