I need to make a few glass tap handles for a home brew kegerator setup, does anyone have a suggestion on where to find the parts needed to thread the glass tap handles onto the beer spout. Home depot and lowes dont seem to carry the parts I need.

Trying to market directly to the microbrewers for discounted beer or trades.:D

If looking for good beer in ALaska, give Midnight Sun Brewing company a try. Awesome beer!! Sockeye red is a personal favorite. They give out free samples too if you stop in.

Thanks,

Jeremiah

the parts would likely be at a home brewing supplier. in my phone book its listed under brewers equip & supplies. I actually have one in the next town over "arbor wine & beer making suplly 631-277-3004, long island ny. you may find one locally.

ive made a few over the years
i made them just a little bigger than the shaft and used silicon to seal them together(this gives the handle some shock absorbtion)
i do the same thing for gear shifters (i had 4 come back broken when i used a nut and apoxy to atatch)
hope that helps

Thanks

I think that is probably a good idea on just makeing a sleeve large enough to go over the existing tap handle. I was originally thinking to just epoxy a nut into a small hole on the bottom but I will give that a try. Thanks for all the help folks.

thats funny, i made one a while back for a girl i know that works at a brewery. i got the piece from her. (threaded part) then matched up a female piece for the handle part, and made it pretty much like the drawer pull method. i didn;t coil pot it however, i just fused a section of encased heavy wall tubing to the bottom of it and made sure the sleeve would fit inside. then epoxy it. if you need a blank sleeve, i think i have a few....pm me and ill check. i love hanes brewery up there. they got a really good pumpkin seed brew....(correct me if i am wrong) but what ever beer i had from there was awesome!

Could epoxy to these existing knobs, already tapped.
