Anyone here not accounted for? I know we got a lot of members in those 2 states.

Seems power was knocked out by a storm, and officials are saying it could take days to get power back on to everyone.

I hope no one tries to use their torch for heat ... CO poisoning would suck.

Anyways.....just a heads up if you all find someone unreachable if they're in the pcaific northwest their power may be out....

The winds have left some sights that are not pretty, we at the store are lucky today we are 1 of the few who did not loose the power.
Altho the boys haven't been to their shop this AM and its in a huge building under those huge old evergreen trees. We can only hope they are still standing.
The winds still blowing out there this AM

...south end of seattle and i lost power for about 3 seconds, seriously it was out just long enough to have to reset electric clocks.
the wind was really strong. i had one downspout blown down and a branch of a tree that was growing through a chain link fence from the neighbors backyard. i need to walk around outside and look at the roof shingles.

neighbor had a portable basketball backstop blown over and dented the top of his back fender next to the trunk lid on his bmw m5. i bet hes not happy.

i havent watched any local tv but im sure there are plenty of people without power.

...shes a shy young thing.

damn im living in a bubble. i have power and no one else around me does. i went to 7-11 for some coffee, theyre closed, no power since last night. so i went about 2 milles in another direction to a starbucks inside safeway and safeway has been without power since 8:30 last night.

branches all along the side and middle of the roads and fences blow over everywhere. im lucky though, except for the downspout thats laying on the lawn and a small tree branch i mentioned earlier everything around my house looks ok. im grateful for that.

I dig the sign...of what I can see from the avatar. I really need to drop by and see the place!! Kids are off school after today until the 2nd so maybe then. :)

The wind here was so bad....

It was terrible...

My house was lifted off the foundatiuon and was tossed through the air. It was airborn for what seemd like 5 hours. when the house landed I was too afraid to move. I got enough couarge to go out and estimate the damage.

To my shock I had landed the house on a woman with black boots (That's all that was showing from under the house) and there were midgets signing and dancing "Ding Dong the Witch is dead" They kept calling me dororthy so I knocked a few of the little shits out with devastating Noogies.

All I can say is Toto we aren't in the pacific northwest anymore...

Hey Skip- your house landed in my yard, and I don’t appreciate you calling my family “midgets”. The politically correct term is now “little people”… and my mom is not a witch.

BTW- have you tried encasing the ruby slippers yet?

Misha- it’s been about 60 degrees here in PA… come on by if you need to warm up!

thanks tom! kinda odd you're offering a warm place to me haha.

sorry i haven't written you back yet...haven't forgotten to i'm just slow.

the snow has stopped and it appears to be melting already heh. there's a good layer over everything but I don't think it's actually cold enough to stay around.

got power back after a day, no tree fell in the yard or on the house, so i'm all good. We had to drive home from Seattle in that storm and we saw 6 trees and 1 set of power lines over I-5 on our way. It was one hell of a ride home.

In Spokane.

We did have a neighbors tree come crashing down into his garage, I'm glad it missed our house.

My street lost power for six days during the october storm in Western New York, a few months ago. I worked a 20 hour shift at the hospital the next day because all these people ran generators in their basements got CO sickness and filled up all the ERs to capacity. A tree fell on my shop, but did'nt cause any real damage.
Clean up crews just finished cleaning up the trees a few weeks ago. The local city paper named the storm "Aborgheddon".

We had no problem, about 10 min after the power was out I had the tv running on my show batteries & invereter. Sat & Sun I drove around and got free firewood for next yr.
Today on the news it said the death total was 12 for CO poisioning with hundreds suffering some symptoms from dumbassery.
