how about what you choose and why...

UST glass is easy for me to get, Adam is only an hour and a half away so i dont have to pay for shipping and its very well priced. He also has color and ground glass fittings and jars for great prices too. Ive heard a complaint about the workablity of the glass but i like the way it melts. My biggest complaint is that the glass is sometimes scummy even after you clean it which looks like it would be a problem while its in the flame but the finished results never really showed any blemishes. I dont work on stuff thats so high end where it would really matter. If i was making 3 and 4 inch marbles with clear enlargers UST probably wouldnt work for me but for what i do im very happy with it. Its also nice to get the GLDG discount.

I use simax - not the greatest, but no real complaints about uniformity/workability....and at $3/lb it can't be beat!

Kimax because of the 5' length when you buy singles and you get more per pound per dollar on the case than corning.

my fav was schott then i got some that was seedy and had lines in it...
what schott distros to the artist community went to hell.

ust ive only worked a little bit but apperently its not as rugged as some glass under the flame and it melts at a slightly lower temp... which is probably the reason for my problem with surface bubbles comeing about way easier i don't know.

and then someone showed me the corkyness with fuming it as well... and while some wouldn't consider it a flaw its deffinitly different. all that being said i think its great glass for the money and after working a few cases you might learn to like it. depending on what your making. it still acts like chinese glass but not as consistently. haven't tried the color yet.

im currently working global trading glass boro-x (unanealed simax overstock?) its good stuff.. and awesome price. i like simax.
