I know it's been explained in depth before, but I'm a little too lazy to search for it. If you find the post, would you link it?

make a reversal, pop hole at 90 degree angle, switch handle. put another blow tube opposite current handle, split in half.

A reversal as in a true 90* axis change, or a wigwag? I keep hearing the "rip in half" part, and just can't see that creating the bowtie in my mind. :bangHead:

you can do whatever design you want. if you want a "true" bowtie. just swirl the lines tight in one direction. pop the hole perfectly 90. in the middle of your terminations. now you have a reverse ball. strecth it out a little, pop a hole on the end, isert another blow tube. rip in half.
now you have two sections. put one in the kiln or wherever.
blow one round, attach punty to end(cold seal, right on termination) take blow hose off.clean up lip where blow hose was. insert section wherever you please.

There's no better explanation that that right there.

where you rip it apart, all the lines will come together and meet at a sharp point. the cleanliness of this termination means everything.

after you rip them apart. look at the end of your ball, you will see the bowtie effect.

Ripping off a little more can clean it up too.
