i was wondering if anyone was planning on attending the International Flameworking Conference this year in March or if people had any experiences they wanted to share from past IFC's?
Mark
im going! the last two years have been a blast, just make sure you book a room at the hotel with the hot tub and the bar....the other hotel is not very fun...it doesn't have a hot tub. or a bar.

Henry Grimmett from Glass Alchemy is going (doesn't have a booth). He is also teaching some color classes the week before at TecnoLux (http://www.tecnoboro.com/catalog/TecnoBoro_2007_Catalog.pdf) and Tin City Art Glass (http://www.tincityartglassllc.com/HenryGrimmett.html).

I'm definetly going. I think I am staying at the holiday in select, not the express cause its only 10 bucks more a room and a lot nicer. I don't know anyone yet so drop me an email if anyone wants to meet up.

The express is the one with the bar that everyone stays at. I would highly recommend staying there. I missed the conference last year but I've got to go this time. Gianni Toso and Mr. Sizelove are doing demos as well.
yaaaaarg!!! well it looks like im actually not going, boo hiss...

I am registered and will be there.... anybody that is debating whether or not they should go should just do it. It is really a good time. There are great networking opportuniites, you will meet a lot of awesome people, and learn a tremendous amount.

I missed last year for the first time. This year I'll be there. The Select is the hotel with the bar, not the express.
This is one of the events for flameworkers that you should not miss. I was talking to Paul the other day about it, he's still trying to figure out a way to make it a profitable show to attend without making it lame. If more people attend it, the better off the show is in the long run.
Some of the past conferences were alot of fun. It's where alot of us get to meet up semi-annualy and make the hotel smell funny.

If anyone backs out of their room at the select let me know. I made a reservation there today and they are out of the reserved block of rooms. Rates are now about $120 a night and I would rather not pay that much for a room.
