flea market

hey all,

i am wondering if anybody has blown glass at a flea market. if you have what kind of permits do you need? also what kind of protection did you use for the public?

i havent checked into permits yet but have been talking with one in mt dora.

they dont have a problem with it

all you need is a big enough table and i like to put up a plexi glass window like in the theme parks

from what i can tell as long as you keep them 36 inches away you dont need to worry about eye protection

I just had to write a proposal for the fire dept. to set up weekly at our local farmer's market. They said they'll get back to me and let me know if it's OK or what needs to change to make it happen. I figure the longer people stand in front of your work, the greater chance they'll buy something.

i blew glass at a rave in a cave once....same diff. but don't worry about the flame it is only harmful if u stare at it for long periods of time and most the mofo's watchin are only checkin it out for a sec.. the reason i would get the glass is to stop wind, outside glassblowing during the day kind of sucks too cause it is hard to see the flame..... but super funn. and i think this is a really good idea u have my friend... i would like to get a outdoor traveling glass show going, once the torch-off is underway i'll get on that...
