Last year I subscribed to the flow.
8 months ago I bought a new home, sent all the usual address changes, and all that happy horsecrap. A few weeks ago I realized I have not seen an issue of The Flow since I had moved into the new house. This past Friday I finally got around to sending them an email, and explained that I had moved, blah blah blah, but have not received my magazines since moving. That was Friday.
Today I received both issues that I had missed, in a handwritten envelope with a bunch of stamps on it. I had similar problems with some other magazine subscriptions, but I had gotten nowhere trying to get backissues. changing my address was difficult enough with linuxjournal, hot rod and popular science. Those ppl could care less about you, so long as you've paid them for the year.
Hats off to Sherry Quaid of the flow for an outstanding level of prompt and courteous customer service. I would have been happy to just get the 1 remaining issue left on my subscription. She made sure that I got my backissues, and pretty dam quick at that. If more businesses operating with that level of customer service, people wouldnt mind paying - let alone paying a bit more to be treated like a person, and not some tool.
If you blow glass, and dont subscribe to the flow - you should. I only buy it for the Advertisements - but the articles, features and monthly tutorials are pretty good too. :bouncy:
