Hi
I have a project to put together a large Crookes radiometer - you know, those things where a rotor is spun round in vacuum when sunlight is shone on it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crookes_radiometer
I want to make it as big as possible, so I'm going to base it on a large round-bottom flask. The biggest I can find is 72 litres (20" dia), but I'll probably start a bit smaller than that.
The rotor needs to be nicely balanced, but I think I've got a handle on that.
Can anyone suggest a glassblower who can handle the, well, glassy bits? I'm based in the UK - I assume these things don't travel very easily.
Thanks
Martin
