Has anyone seen Steven of Offut Lake Oddities?

Ok, here is the story. I saw a guy (Glassbackwards) here say he was opening up a gallery back in September 05. He said nothing sold, and then he moved the gallery to a place where he could open up a teaching studio. In November of last year I get an email saying he is closing down and is going to send all our stuff back. After multiple emails and attempts to track this guy, I get no response and none of my stuff back. I wrote to the BBB, and they have done precisely squat. I can't even find a phone number for him that is still working. His website www.offutoddities.com has been disabled, but here is what used to be the whois:

I've tried sending email through all these places, and get no response. If anyone knows this guy, I'd really appreciate getting my work and displays back. :bummed:

A word to the wise for anyone dealing consignment with a glassblower start up galleries. They disappear sometimes as quickly as they opened.

Not that glassbackwards won't do right in this situation but speaking in general terms.

I know Steven from when I lived in Olympia way back in the day - I'm not sure how to get in touch with him, but I will call a few people that might be able to reach him, or at least find out what's going on.

Steven was a pretty cool guy, and I never got a bad impression/vibe from him, so it's a pretty good chance that something big came up. I'm not making excuses for the guy - I'm just saying that he doesn't have a super-shady past or anything.

yeah i seem to have got 3-4 e-mails about this... Can someone tell me why? I didn't consign anything with him, nor am I a part of his biz. So WHY am I getting these e-mails?

I'm not sure how the person who is sending out the emails got the list. She was probably told we were all doing consignment with him. If you send her an email she will take you off the list.

After filing with the BBB in Washington, he says that he accidentally typed in the wrong email addy, and has shipped my work back. We will see.

Hey, Its me. I know a few a people are a little pissed right now and rightfully so. I've been dealing with a lot of shit, business problems, mothers health issues (heart attack/tripple bypass), moving three times, losing two jobs and splitting with my girl friend after getting a six month lease are just a few examples.

I'm just getting things straightend out now and have shipped back most of the artwork along with the last total payments. My Email address is liquidpoet@bluebottle.com not "hotmail.com" which is what I guess I accidently typed (sorry). And I'm also sorry for the way I have been conducting my resposibilities as far as getting back some of the artworks that have been intrusted to me.

I'm sure that after about a year and a half of some of you having to just sit and wait for for a reply from me this is not a acceptable apologie. And I'm sorry.

PS. About the emails a lot of people are getting, Im sorry. This person Michelle Villareal decided that everyone on a mass mailing I sent out about the gallery needed to be Involved here. I can understand some people doing this when all else fails, but this lady might not be getting her artwork at all. I have been trying to track here down to get a correct mailing address because she has moved more times than me in the last year. I finally just sent it back to the last one on record. And emailed here last known email to let her know...too which she finaly replied "Thanks"....go figure?
