I have heard MTV has a hand in Bonnaroo this year. That would be a total sellout and really lame no matter who plays, and I'm a bonnaroo fan. Lets hope it's not true.

I just saw the initial lineup and knew I had to go...Tool and the Police on the same billing....who would have thunk it!

yup roo is a big SELLOUT... probly couldn't pay me to go. It's turning into those "Woodstock" festivals they did a while back. I would doubt seein MTV cameras and hosts... I remeber the first year, sadly been all downhill from there. just my 2 pennies.

tool is my fav band but i dont like seeing them at festivals. time slots suck for a band like tool, they need time to play there whole set not 3/4 of it.

roo looks good this year though with the police and keller and ben and SCI.

ROO is not what it used to be ! I didn't make the first one but have been to the last four and it's been down hill evey year !
Hide your glass well for there is cops, cops and more cops and the check point = big tyme search .
It's like most festiavls the first three yrs. are good and then it's all about $$$ . Yes the line up does look awesome ! "Don't"get there early = you will be on the back 40 and a frigin' day trek out from there. "Beware" of the blonde on the horse, she thinks she's frigin' "ANNIE OAKLEY" tried to take our glass pendants last year - yes pendants ,no pipes ???? Not going back ever ! Bonnaroo freakin rules. That MTV rumor has been around since the second year and it's not true. The big difference this year is they (superfly and co.) bought the farm. I'm not sure what that's gonna change but I be there to find out. The lineup is fuckin sweet, as always, I guess I'm in the minority about the Tool thing though, not to stoked on them. However I haven't heard a song from them since Sober.

Be prepared to be hassled big time by the cops. I went last year and they took every glass bottle we had, searched all the cars in our group, and were real dicks in general. They are even allowed in the event now, and I saw some kids get shook down. I guess it is what it is, gone are the days of chillin' festivals. Slow train comin'

What kind of glass bottles did yall ahve anyway? Do they take your stuff if you bring stuff to sell, pendants, marbles??
My buddy went last year, and said some guy just looked in the car and said they were ok, and they went right in. who knows though.
