i have a shop in my poolhouse and there is no heat. My ventilation is an attic fan directly in front of my torch and a window is directly behind me. This is great during the summer because it keeps me cool and keeps fresh air going past my head but in the winter it gets very cold. At night i dont turn on the ventilation so i dont freeze and i was wondering if this was bad. I turn on the vent if i am doing fuming or after i do a tube pull but then i cut it off after a few minutes cause its cold.

Man, sucks to be you right now!

I LOVE my wood stove... Gotta go out there and light it up and hour or two before I want to work, but it gets nice and toasty even with ventilation pulling fresh air across the studio :chilling:

be kinda cool to blow glass in a pool, just not the deep end.

I've worked everywhere at one time from my spare bedroom to a garage to my now studio basement. 680 square feet fits a lot considering my furnace is in the middle of it all.

Winters just suck..period.

I dunno if you have basements down there in NC, but I recently moved from my garage to the basement. I have a 30,000btu-85,000btu propane clean burner. I keep that at like 40,000btu's and I'm set. Even with a window open down there and the fan goin I'm pretty damn comfey. I was actually sweating the otherday while workin down there... that hasn't happend since early fall! You outta get a heater of some sort at least.
