Breaking away from the traditional neon sign, Jason Chakravarty and Eric Franklin will share the techniques they use to create their own illuminated sculptures. Using hot and cold glassworking methods, participants will create their own distinct glass forms. Each piece will be filled with different gases, creating a variety of illuminated color combinations. This workshop is in conjunction with Mesa Contemporary Arts’ Molten exhibition, a must see show, even if you don't take the workshop!
** Previous neon or glassblowing (offhand or flameworking) experience required. **
