  • Double Layer Reversal Balls

The most common technique request I have seen go by unfulfilled on the forum has been double layered work. So here it goes, this is just one way to do this technique and is not the end all. Tips: Start small because it'll get thick fast and be too big to use. The more even and coned you get the pieces the less air you'll trap. If you have questions feel free to PM me. Thanks!

    You'll Need:

A tube with design you plan to use for the inner tube.
A tube with a half clear design that you plan to use for the outer design.
Punty that fits inside your blow tube for brace
    Blow tubes

First create the outer sleeve by making a reversal ball that is clear on one half:
Be sure that there is a clean open attachment to the blow tube and that it is in the middle of the clear window area:

Then open up and even out the design side:

Prepare your inner design tube using the punty that will fit down the blowtube:

Now holding the punty flame cut and open up right where the outer sleeve ends:

And put that into the outer tube:

Then ream out the inner tube and fuse it to the outer tube:

Work the air out of the first half of the piece by heating an area and sucking out the air then attach a blow tube to that end:

Work the air out and remove the blow tube, then heat the whole thing evenly and blow it out to the proper thickness.
