i have a case of 50x5 and 9.5x2 that i can deliver to CDA/spokane area tomorrow for 25% off list price free delivery!
im in indiana, right outside chicago, im still researching on what sizes would be best. im wanting to start doing stick stacks/vac stacks so im lookin for tubing that would be best for that application. if anyone has suggestions i just started another thread in the glass disc. page titled venturi vac stack if this isnt the right place to discuss it.
if all else fails, call up a supplier such as "glasshouse" in Arcata, CA..... 707-822-1374
They'll sell, and ship, you one tube, or a case...whatever you want.
if all else fails ill be drivin down to southern indiana and pickin up at abr
That'll work too....lol
i for sure want some 50x5
What torch are you using? I have been using the same nortel major/minor for over 13 years....it'll melt 50x5 just fine, but not quickly..... It also melted 50x9 very very slowly though, that was just too thick for it.....
i have an ssq, i love the thing. im sure i got enough heat to get the job done, full throttle it cooks. ive used some other nortel torches and had my friends redmax in my garage the last few months and i hated them. they dont get very hot and i cant stand the rider concept, maybe im biased but my friend who owned the redmax had the same observations with the heat output after gettin behind my torch. center fire/outer fire seems so much more efficient
Definately, not the best design out there, but I will say the darn thing has lasted forever, and made many thousands of pieces with it. Someday i'll upgrade, but not today....lol
