I did some work with a videographer (big shout-out to Chris at Red Shamrock Productions!) this summer and the 16-minute video he made, demonstrating the making of a complex sculpture as well as some background about my glass work and inspiration, is now posted!
Enjoy!
Wes.

Awesome!
Great to get a peak at your studio and to hear a bit of your story. :)
Well produced vid too. Congrats on being a part of it!

Very cool Wes. Watching you make those fine glass sections is truly amazing. I can't imagine the control that it must take.
Makes me even prouder to have your work in my collection.
Oh ya', great work on the video too Chris!

200 to 300 percent fail rate!!!??? You must have the most patience in the world. I can't say anything more than stuff you've already heard, but your stuff is truely awesome.

Great vid Wes and crew! I loved everything about it except the soundtrack... Maybe I'm too old for dubstep. It just didn't jive with the video IMO. Still, awesome video and well put together.

Great video.
I like how even your studio is a reflection of your miniature approach. Your effeciency (like the drawers full of wings and parts) is inspiring!
Watching you make the segmented legs was fantastic. I had no idea how it was done. Perfect execution.
I need a piece from you. Bad.
As a side, my wife did some bee and ant venom research as an undegrad and she absolutely loves your work.

Re: new video about my sculptural work!
Thanks everyone!!! It was fun making it, and I feel like he did a great job :D
Bo - Dubstep wouldn't have been my first choice if I chose the music, but I didn't want to get in the way of Chris' creative process and I like the way it turned out. Interesting to see things from a different perspective than my own :devilish:
Mecha - Just let me know! I'm happy to make whatever crazy, venomous ant she studied in school.
