Natural Selection
A friend of mine owns a shop in town with that name. She sells exotic plants, succulents, terrariums, rocks, taxidermy, bones and odd naturalist items, it's a neat store. I made some little stuff for her to stick in plant pots as accessoriesto see if she could scare up a few extra bucks. I gave them up on "consignment" to see how they sell, she'll give me store credit so my daughter can buy bugs and new plants.
Cheap, easy and fun to make.

A few more. Getting fancier, trying more colors. The shop sure likes them, apparently they sell pretty well and she has one customer that is starting a collection. I'm flattered.

Re: Natural Selection
Short and fat, i like those too but they are harder to maintain the cap shape when flattening. When heating to press the caps the whole thing gets soft and my punty pushes into the top. They said they need more so I'll do more with the bigger caps. Also need a few more colors, blues and greens seem most popular.
They are now making "wet terrariums" with mossimo moss balls so want some coral and sea critters. Sounds like fun!

Re: Natural Selection
ive made some of these kind of mushrooms as well as mushroom marbles on a stick.
i got a couple terra cotta pots and filled them with black sand, and stick all the planter decorations in them for display at art/craft/farmers markets.
i hot glued the hole in the bottom so it doesnt leak out.
