First recycler. Felt really good to pull it off :)
Looking forward to tweaking and cleaning up future attempts.

that's a damn nice first try!
Personally, I see to many trying to make things like this before acquiring the skill set.
This is a good example of a first build with proper skill.
Looks solid, just some minor shaping to tweak
Gotta crawl before u walk
Thanks!! It feels like all of the seal practice is paying off and it's nice to put it to use on something functional rather than just sealing tube after tube to tube after tube.

Couple of 14 traveler rig collabs with Sherm Glass.
Very cool BBQ!!
I have been a fan of Mishas shadow marbles and found her tutorial last week. Thought i would put some time into marbles to get a feel for thicker glass. What makes me crazy is when i lower the marble into the mold to spin it often puts a dent in it, one step forward two steps back.

dude......that's it i'm making ornaments today. spent the last two days making TINY beads for earrings and necklaces (bought a jewelry making kit) to expand my potential customer base....i suuuuck at blown work and need the practice.
now i need help....how would you price out those candy canes, in maybe sets of 3 and 5? i think those 3 took about 45 minutes......was thinking maybe $40 for 3, $60 for 5.
but i'd like some input....idk if that's too cheap or too high. yes i agonize over pricing, ocd sucks.
Christmas ornaments are definitely good practice for hollow work, ISA. I got thrown into making A LOT of Christmas ornaments before I could really do much hollow work at my old production shop, and it taught me a lot about heat base and shaping large bubbles. FWIW, I really struggle with pricing stuff these days with the way the industry has gone the past few years, but I would probably price them just a tad lower than that. I would say $35 on the set of 3, and maybe $55 on the set of 5. I struggle a lot with pricing though, because if a no name artists makes them, it can be really difficult to get even 10 each for something like that from people who aren't super educated on glass, but could also see an established, big name artist charging hundreds for that kind of stuff to the right people as well. If I make stuff like that though, I tend to find that it is the people who could care less about the pipe/cannabis culture who buys them, and the majority of really high priced stuff usually tends to go to that genre of customer, because that is where a lot of bigger artists are established.
trying my hand at beaded earrings.

nice! i rec'd a largish order for both candy canes and beaded earrings. i just need to keep up this momentum. i have this issue where when i earn a good paycheck, i slack off for 3 or 4 days after, ending up broke again. i really suck at managing my time lol. king procrastinator.
