Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
How's it goin to everyone? I'm chris, friends call me oges or o.g. for short. i'm 27 and in mad-town, wisco. i've been lurking in the shadows around here for quite a bit but just never had much to say or add. plus my old account wouldn't let me post for some reason, so here i am now. been blowin for around 5 or 6 years on and off, mostly on except when i was robbed a couple years ago (stole my phantom & minor along with some finished prodo by kicking in 2 doors). nice to meet you all finally.
Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Zak. . It's been awhile. . .
Anywho, 5 years? flameworking, 3 furnace work, having a blast. Good to post here again. Goodbye!
Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Courtney aka Lasair here. 5 years part time working soft glass. Mostly beads. Starting to dabble a bit in Boro. I'm a bench jeweler 40 hours a week, where I am more of a mechanic for jewelry than the artist I hear inside, dreaming of glass instead of gold... go figure...
I have had some of my lampwork jewelry in a few very nice jewelry stores. Wellings and Co. Fine Jewelry in Cincinnati, OH and Gold Line Jewelry in Marietta, OH. (I moved like a gypsy until I bought my house.) Now I'm in Baltimore, MD and I am setting up my workshop. Just need the final ventilation and I'm ready to rock and roll! Working on a National 8m for now and looking into something GTT or Carlisle I dunno.
Thanks for this great forum. I'm very impressed!
Happy melting. :combustio

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Hey, yall. Names Jon "The Glass Fish" Fischbach. Been checking out the site for a few weeks, but this is my first post. Been working boro for a decade. Different from most of you all, I usually work clear boro and use stains. I sell a ton of it retail in my store. (Day Job) I love to make pipes, marbles, pendants, oil lamps, sculpture or whatever. I cant say I have a favorite thing I like to make, I've made thousands of animals. Good at it but a little burnt on it. Prodo pipes been paying the bills recently, at least till x-mas, then its back to figurines. Live here in North Texas, Arizona origionally. I love the open forum here. I've met artists in the past who wouldn't share anything, other want to make money off of me. Lookin' foward to becoming part of the "Community". Flame on!
Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
welcome Jon, please make yourself at home! I am new here also, I have been here a few months and everyone is wonderful and helpful.
Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Hello,
My name is Jess, everyone around here (Eastern Wa.) calls me Waxy.
I started lampworking in 97'. After a five year absence I am now getting back into it. It's insane how far it has come. IMHO Glassblowing is like Technology, it stayed realtively unchanged for thousands of years then explodes into madness once the knowlege is unleashed and shared.
I love all of the new techniques and knowlege. It's fun again.
Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
