Wanted to wrap glass instead of "Shinny Rocks" in wire...
It's the hole, Color Control thing...
Hooked up with a brother and watch for a while,
started with boro, 8/15/05 which equals 1 year, 6 months and change...
Things are up in the air... Doing mostly crappy prodo but,
needing to move to Colorado and Help my Mom...

hello everyone
I have spent many an hour going through the info on this forum and thought
i would throw my name in the mix.
I am just finishing part 2 of an apprenticship in Hawaii and going back to
my home state of Alaska in a couple of weeks for the summer. Anyone going to be in Homer this summer?
then we are off to New Mexico around August to move. I know there arent enough
glass workers there and they desperatly need one more.

hey dudes, i am new to all of this. My co-worker for the moment has been telling me about this site for awhile, and he is a glass artist. All of this is incredibly interesting, and i have been intrigued by sculpture for my whole life, just have not been able to find my medium. Hopeing that glass will fit, and am exited to try it out!
Name's Ryan Flemming. I've been playing with glass almost a year, boro for about 7 months of that year, I started with some furnace work... I'm still looking for a good place to learn and work in the seattle area if anyone reads this stuff and has a lead for me drop it like a bomb...

MainiacGlass here, representin ME from the sunshine state. The names Charles. Glad to meet all of you. And I just wanted to thank all the people that make this happen. This is one of the greatest stock piles of glass info that I have ever run in to. It's like the borg for glass "the boro-org." This is the hive, we are the collective. I have been Burnin' for two years, I took a one year apprenticeship
well, over a year of 10 plus hr days. My teacher taught me the old ways and eventually taught me a lot of new techniques, chronologically.He is a 20 yr vet. Now I am fairly sick. I can make anything. (with in reason). I think about glass every second of the day. I burn in my sleep. COLOR-CHANGING GLASS IS NOT DEAD-rEdI:bouncy:
Hi. tosh aka... tosha. I live in Sherman, Texas. My family has been in lamp work for awhile. My mom raised seven kids selling glass in malls. She had labor pains on the torch in the middle of some mall in Butte, Montana, they eventually got her to a hospital, Silver Bow County, were I was born. (though we lived in California at the time) I'm many miles away from my family now. I went from sharing my glass ideas with six people to my husband and I. I could go on but, long story short, I am happy to have found this community of people who appreciate all glass work. I still have so much to learn. I guess I'll never be done growing as far as glass goes. I am definitely okay with that ;)

My 10 year anniversary is this June! Up to 2 months ago I thought I was cool as hell to be spinnin' 10 years and knew so much......then recently realized I am only beginning to really learn.
