And the upgrades continue I woke up to the delivery truck this morning Woo Hoo. My mirage is getting shipped out today so I figure it will be here by Friday or Saturday Happy times Happy times.

Good shit man grats on getting the LOX , just curious how much did you end up dropping start to finish for that? I am still contemplating eventually going lox or homefill
well herbie I smoozed my way in at airgas tipping all the time and just being overly nice to them. I got lucky my lease wasn't up on my T tanks so my buddy at airgas just swapped me out for lox and it is 80 bucks per fill delivered. Now from what I gather it seems like no airgas has the same prices so all I can say is start asking questions telling them your interested in lox and see what they tell you.
So I worked as much as I could last night I have a huge cut on my right thumb tip and just couldn't spin the glass evenly. So I think I'm going to take a lil' break and let it heal up the more I tried to work with it the more it kept busting open and I really want to be in tiptop shape when my mirage get's here.
Thanks levi, hope your thumb heals nicely! I am still in the process of deciding whether LOX or a homefill 2 is more appropriate for me since I am only a hobbyist (still building shop). None the less appreciate the feedback!

I run my mirage at 35/5 treats the colors better imo
I just read on another thread that a 5:1 ratio is the best but i share a regulator with another torcher so thats why i keep it a little higher

the mirage is similar to the cc in consumption when i switched i didn't notice a huge difference, and i use my center fire the majority of the time which saves some gas vs cc outerfire
Output pressure is only half of oxygen consumption. Volume or LPM is the other half. Which Gtt's are very conservative on. High pressure, but low volume. For the heat and size of the flame, Gtt's are very oxygen efficient.Quote:
