Re: my progression
i like your work really clean! what tubing do u use for the cans of those tubes?
for sharper wags i think its best to pull the tubing down to a small diameter and make the tightest sharpest wags possible. that way when it condenses it squeezes together like an accordion and makes the points. but im still learning tho.

Re: my progression
Size wise? I've used 25-38 for the cans of my tubes. Depends on what I'm doing with it I guess.

Re: my progression
cool, yah i was just wondering, i've been using 38 but im thinkin about tryin 44.

Re: my progression
Been real busy. First successful fumacello. Digging these spoons and I am addicted to fuming. Messing around with fumed line tubing in the last 2. Sorry about the shitty pics those were stills from a video. Is it just me or is it tough this time of year as far as sales go?

Re: my progression
that fumacello is so cool, you use scalloped tubing, or drawin lines?
-
Re: my progression
Thanks. Scalloped tubing. I tried making like 6 of them today but not one came out. I can't seem to get a consistent pull with it.

Re: my progression
Sexy glass.
Yes slow sales till holidays in a lot of places.
College towns are busy tho.
-
Re: my progression
College has actually slowed down. Everyone buys as soon as they get back to school. At least that was what I was just told by my shop next to SUNY New Paltz. Halloween they come out again.
Dead and Company are playing in New York this October. That should get sales also. They sold out in like 15 minutes. I got my ticket for October 29 in Albany. They are playing Madison Square garden also on Halloween.

Re: my progression
I think the Atlantic City show is going on right now also. I am not sure. My distributor is totally busy. I am so busy I am stressed actually. I think that is from trade shows.
Get your distributor work done now. So then it will be out on the shelves for the holidays. Then do up some shops for the holidays and I have a couple of retail customers for ornaments. That is my plan.

Re: my progression
Thanks Boro. There are some shops near URI but I can't get a hold of the owner. I don't have a distributor. I met one the other day and he was interested in my stuff but money seems tight with everyone right now.
-
Re: my progression
start small with the distributor then establish more work as time goes on. It takes some momentum to get it going but once the ball is rolling you get tons of orders. Well at least I do.

Re: my progression
Try green side up? (Boston , and somewhere else) That guy knew his shit.
Your glass is nice, and on point.
Actually, send me a p.m., we can trade #'s again? I think my shops may take some stuff (42 in ny) ..... Least I can do is show the glass and prices to the owner. He does just about anything I ask.

Thanks man. It's been about 1 year 8 months now.
Another bubb, jet black with purple lilac implosion and carb. Fume implosion horn thing. Bottom of this needed repair and now it wobbles slightly. Need a pair of finishing tools so I can get a nice flat bottom. Always learning.

Re: my progression
This is the coolest progression thread ive read so far. I love seeing how you went from where you started to where you are now doing line work like those "fillachellos?" , and colabs. Ill be starting a progression thread in a few weeks and plan on taking pictures like the ones you took in the "lightbox?". I read an artical on making those by roger parramore i think. Anyway, thanks for the sweet pics and interesting thread.

Re: my progression
So much pretty stuff, I especially liked the sherlock about half way through with the super clean green filla on the side.
