Do you have any more of these home fills with whips available? I will buy one now if you do still have any. I've been out of the glass scene for about 8 years but some of you may remember my name from back in the day, I taught and worked with a lot of the still active/famous/best lamp workers of boor out there.

My name is Ezra and I used to sign all my pieces with a little milli that said "ez" in it ;) Some of you will know who I am.

Well I finally built a new glassblowing srtudio in my home and will be blowing again for fun. I need a home fill so please let me know if you still have any available. I would really love one of these home fills and I may even consider partial trade for a custom blown piece of mine if that interests you at all. But all cash is fine as well.

Oh sorry shipping to 48 states is already included also Paypal fees are included. Also I am filling my own tank with a your unit right now.... You know just to test it.... Not cause I need the free oxygen.

This might be very ignorant on my part, but I just don't know. What is the "whip" and what is it used for?? Then, are you able to tell me what parts you need to make one??
I have an old oxy con I'd like use but lack the knowledge to use it. I've seen other posts on these set ups and understand only part of the process and definetly don't know what parts I need. I have been using tanked oxy and would love to change over but can't because of the cash. Anyway to use it by just making the whip, or not??

A homefill unit is a compressor made to fill small medical tanks using a medical oxygen concentrator.
Very smart people in this forum figured out how to adapt these units to fill large tanks like K tanks or T tanks.

I sell the homefill compressor and special whip or connector to make it possible to fill big tanks.

You need an oxygen concentrator to make the homefill work. There are some pictures in this thread.

I got two more units yesterday. They will be ready to ship early next week. After that I am not sure when I will have more. I am certainly working on it.

There has been quiet a few posts on how much power a homefill uses. I did a bit of my own research today. I filled a small medical bottle rather than my tank. This is a power meter that tells you watts and monthly cost being on all the time in this case. The homefill if powered on for 30 days straight would use $44 dollars in power @ my kwh price plus transmission charge. .1433 cent per kilowatt hour. I run mine about 210 hours per month. It cost about .06 per hour. 44 divide by 720(hours in 30days.) I get $12.44 per month in power. My electric bill for my shop is about 15-20 per month. So that is about accurate. You can also see the picture of how many watts this thing uses.

I will leave this on for the next month or so to get a more solid average. Post back Great device for finding out what is cranking your power bill.
