Looks like it's working for most people.

I'm not sure how to lock the pins once they are place. Since it is a "public" map ( i.e. you don't need an invitation to add to the map) anyone can add and make changes. Not ideal, but I'm not sure if there is a solution.

Also I think you can only add a pin if you have a google account.

Lowtide, when you get the bugs worked out start a new thread and I'll make it a sticky for you. :)

Really can you move someone's pin? That's not good.

I added my logo and put in my City and state in the info just in case someone moves me... just put me back on Clovis! LOLOL

I've been moved to Las Cruses, ABQ, and some where on the east coast so far.... lol wish i got to travel that much!

I don't have the red icon under my search bar. It's probably my security settings. I even try to lower the security settings as low as possible and it still doesn't work. I have similar problems on other sites.

When I am home I try to pick up a free wifi signal since I don't have internet there. I think the owner (I have no idea where the signal comes from) found out and got into my computer. I am not being paranoid, further proof is that my bookmarks disappear regularly. I don't know if it is someone's idea of getting me back for using their wifi... but I'm not gonna stop. ;)

I think the only way to prevent people from being able to move icons, by mistake of course ;) , is to not have it open to the public. This kinda sucks as the whole point of the map was to allow you to put the marker where you want it, write what you want, ect. I didn't realize that also meant you can move, or delete other markers on the map.

The only other option is to make it a private map, which I am then the moderator for. People can PM or email me where they want me to put the marker.

I will leave it up to you all to decide what you want to do. Or if anyone knows more about this than I do, or has other ideas please let me know :)

Prolly best if you mod it then. Will take only one troll to ruin it.

Maybe have 2 maps a public one where people can add, and a private one you mod that will be linked here, let people add their spot to the public one then copy it to the private one

I like Enigma's idea.

I will periodically copy over the map and save it privately. That way if a troll ruins everything I can pull up a recent copy.
