$1249 for the single filling system. Plus $266.99 for the whip and I think $189 for the smaller tank. Starting to really add up isn't it?
Yea I believe that's just a tee and additional whip hose so u can fill 2 tanks from one homefill. Fill 2 tanks and work of them at the same time.
i have $500 for a homefill shipped to southeast NC. i wont pay more than that.
right I bet I could find some creepy dead guys stuff on craigslist. Maybe a medical device from someone who died.
Hey what did you expect for $50 right.... it does say that by the way also.
MSRP for homefill is like 3500. 95% of the time it's covered by medical insurance. And there is no diffrence between medical and glassblowing homefill except for modified whip to larger tank.
I will check that out.
Found one on craigslist but still expensive. Same price as saltcityglass.com .
Yea in my region they range from 800 to 1500 "ALL DAY". you gotta check craigslist 3, 4 times a day for a while and you will get lucky. Believe me. I've done it, I recommended to people on here and one of them also got a super dupper deal. I've also read post people scoring super deals on them when I started my homefill journey.
I found a homefil on craigslist for $400 about a week ago. was to far of a drive, and I'm going to build a high volume low pressure system. I think those are much more akin to our oxy needs.
I only found one and it did not come with the oxygen condenser. They wanted $600. Same price as saltcityglass.com wants for just the compressor. I will keep looking but I feel I might be better off going with a company that can service me since I am a newbie at this one.
But as of right now I am just shopping. I don't have a large sum of cash sitting around. I might be able to get some orders together but it has to be reasonable.
i got 2 used oxy cons with my torch, checking craigslist regularly never any homefills in my area but a nice 10lpm oxy con for 250 thinking about getting that i have one 10 and one 5 currently running my scoprion but want to get a homefill setup so i can be running tanked. haven't ran the scorpion on tanked as the people i bought it from suggested because it would be hard for me to go back to oxy cons haha im sure its true
seems to me people are constantly having problems with home fills. probably because so many of the ones glass blowers get are used.
I'm going to go with a oil less compressor and low pressure holding tank. my friend built one with 4 5lpm oxycons, a gast compressor, and large holding tank. we worked for 6 hours, me on his delta and him running a redmax hand torch on the lathe. never even worried about the oxy. no filling schedule, system was empty, turned it on, we started working about 20 min later.
What do you mean? Once the shop owner sold his wives exercise bike to a cop on craigslist.org. He said she never used it and he bought it for her after she had a child. She never used it so he sold it on the internet. TOo bad it was to a cop because he had to call him up wile I was there and return the thing and want his money back saying it was broken. Only reason he got his money back with no hassel was because he was a cop. But I just would not stress it mang..... nothing personal. I am not sure I would want to buy the stuff off a cop. I could not blame him if it was broken.
didnt understand his comment about smoking and looking for heli but i could see if he were a cop and assumed thats what stoners do? i dont care what occupation, doesn't really say to much about what kind of person you are nowadays especially in law enforcement
He quoted me $1,000 for the home fill.
Robert at salt city glass sells them for $749.
I scored 2 K tanks full for $100 yesterday. mind blowing deal. I would love to hook up my oxycon to the home fill and gang up my 3 tanks.
No doubt I want one but cant swing it this month. Just cant find lumps like that everyday in the budget.
Mr Nomad,
First and foremost E-bay will not let you sell concentrators or home fills online that's why they are not listed there. PayPal has the same type of security as eBay for buyers so if you go thru them your safe.
Now here is the tough part....I did not post pictures in the beginning because I did not understand the purpose. So I did not post the manufacturers pictures because someone said "And don't post manufacturers pictures" they said be sure to take your own picture! So I gave in and took pictures with a piece of paper with a date on it(as suggested)....... now its "How do we know whats in the box"?? If the fact that I have said whats in the box and its contents also printed on the exterior of the box is not enough then sorry...I guess it could be something else in there like a member of Isis wielding a machete or "A baby's arm holding an apple" or the remains of Jimmy Hoffa or better yet it could be Brad Pitts wife's head from the movie "7"...and all of which would be super cool to receive by post.
Now lets address the "I don't get it" part of the equation.....what don't you get? We buy "SH*t" we sell "Sh*t"....does that help any. The home-fills are Invacare IOH 200 please feel free to Google them...I don't mean to offend you, its really not good for business but on the other hand I cant do your research for you...
So "HERES THE BOTTOM LINE"...I may lack diplomacy at times but I have stellar equipment at better prices then you will find anywhere else feel free to look around!!!!!
thank you for your interest and I hope you still find me to be a descent guy :)
May your Gods continue to bless you!

Nothing really cool on craigslist.org about home-fills. The concentrators are expensive also used. You still have to modify them also.
I did find someone selling a glassblowing set-up though. Everything but the kiln.

You got to purse it, check 4 times a day. Most of the time people don't know what they got. I've seen few for 100-400 for a set up, 99% of the time I was to late calling.
If you see one for dirt cheap, you gotta jump on it cuz IT WONT LAST! and from my experience, most of the time they have super low hours. I got 3, I bought them with 250, 96, 55 hrs on them. Mwest on here has em all the time in the 500-600 range. And I would recommend just getting the invacare concentrator for it, for a simple, pain in the ass free, plug n play set up with no mods.
It's all about those craigslist finds! There are those people who want way way too much, and there are those who want that junk out of their house. One I bought was in a storage locker auction. The guy didn't really know what it was, and was getting chewed out by his wife because she was afraid it would explode. Couldn't light a candle in the house, even with the concentrator unplugged. He was happy to see it go. 1st invacare platinum 5 I got from a guy for 40 bucks. I offered 100, and later that day changed my mind (was going to go tanked) and he responded that it had to go, and wanted 40 bucks. My next score was a 5L invacare w/ a homefill and tank for 100 bucks. It was advertised for 500, but when i called,he didnt have a power cable to try the homefill, I said it's too risky for me, so he said he would do 300. When I got there one of the 2 tanks he had wasn't the saught after homefill tank, just a pain one. Also at 5 lpm the o2 alarm came on and had high hours. Talked him down to 100 (that's what I could easily get on ebay for just the one good homefill tank) so the rest was just gravy. Took an old monitor cable, plugged it in, set it to 2 lpm flow and it works perfect. Homefill chugs along and I am currently filling my own tanks. Don't get discouraged Nomad, I searched almost daily (searchtempest.com searches through craigslist within xxx miles from you and puts it on one page, love it) and went to look at 2 different units I didn't buy. Wasted some time and gas, but being picky saved me alot of $$$ One lady acted like the concentrator was included, only to try and get more from me. Another wasn't filling correctly. Do the searching and save some serious cash. I've been too late calling on an ad that was posted up just 3 hrs prior.
While there is some interesting conversation in this thread, this IS a sales thread, and it has derailed to the point that it is interfering with the pertinent sale info and replies. Perhaps the OP would like to restart by posting a new sales thread with his dated pics, and we can try to limit responses to his sale.
Thank you!
I am still wondering about the used home-fill system. You want $600 for the home-fill compressor only? If that includes an oxy con I might be interested.
Thank you "Kristen",
Wonderful advice!
For my part in the "Descent to Madness" will you please accept "one thousand pardons"...
I will try to post said items again with less "Mirth and Merriment"......unless provoked of course :0
May your Gods continue to smile upon you!
