blow the bottom out to the general size you want before you go the joint to get a bigger bottom.
ah you mean, join another tube to the bottom blow that out too and then squash/ flatten it?
or do you mean that i should add a piece of tubing to the closed bottom of the can to flare that out?
kind regards frank

Can I ask where you source your boro colour in Germany? Sometimes people ask me. Thanks in advance.
in our school we use schott or simax, i think we are getting it directly, i myself buy glass from gvb
kind regards
Vielen danke!
kein problem :D
I need to get some standard wall...trying scientific stuff w heavy wall can be quite a beiotch.
All those measurements on those pieces^....shit's wild
It may not be spectacular from an artistic standpoint, but it's really cool to see these pieces. I've enjoyed them steak. Keep it up!
Referencing post 431. Certainly not your entire thread.
Thanks for the update as always steak! cool stuff your making, id like to see more sometime
yea keep posting! this is awesome stuff! Imaging trying to get all those dimensions right would be such a bitch. Mad respect!
hi, thanks for all the words, yes the measurements are quiet a bitch thing , i sometimes have zero tolerances and sometimes up to 4mm depending on the thing i need to make, i think heavy wall would look strange, and would not funktion sometimes like in condensers where you want/need a good heat transfer, and glass transfers heat really bad
